God sees you

This whole journey has been riddled with emotion. There has been a lot of hesitancy, on my part. A lot of doubt and fear, too.

What if no one likes my work?

What if all this time and effort amounts to nothing?

What if I’m misreading it all and moving in the wrong direction?

What if all I discover through this process is not success but failure instead?

What if…

And once again, I feel like I did back in junior high.

Like my words.

Follow my page.

Validate my work.

The day my new website went live, I didn’t have the guts to login and see the report of the website’s traffic.

I didn’t want to know if a million people clicked on the link or if zero people did. Because truth be told, I had a feeling the number was extremely close to the latter. My heart couldn’t handle the disappointment, and I’d never know the difference if I didn’t look.

But two months later, I had to look. I had to login and find a few pieces of information and that’s when I saw it.

The one lone email in my inbox.

No one else emailed me. No one else commented on any of my posts. No one else – but my precious dad.

You may feel like you’re working and laboring in vain, my friend, and I understand that completely.

But God notices what you’re doing.

God sees your effort and your work, and He is on your side.

God is for you.

And if you’re for God, if you’re committing your work to Him and trusting Him with the outcome, you will find success.

It may not be what you’ve always imagined, or it may be even greater. But God is more concerned with your obedience than your fame. One will draw you much closer to Him, the other will push you away.

So don’t give up. Keep pressing on.

God’s got his eye on you!

Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. – Psalm 37:5
