Reason #803

He's got the whole world in His hands...

Sometimes we just need simple reminders because sometimes life is simply overwhelming. It's too much to keep together. Too much to sort out. All of the hurt, the loss, the pain, the illness. It's a lot. Bending until it feels like we're about to break, and we wonder how we'll make it.

He's got the whole world in His hands...

Sometimes it feels like we're the only one. The only one who is hurting. The only one who is feeling the fire. It seems like no one else aches the way we do. Like no one else is suffering. All hearts are whole but ours. Our heart is breaking, and we wonder if it can ever feel joy again.

He's got the whole world in His hands...

Sometimes we wonder if He hears us. Are our prayers making it to His ears? Is He preoccupied with something else? Why aren't we getting the answer we're hoping for? Why can't it just stop and go back to how things were before? We're at a loss for words. We've said everything we can think of, and so has everyone else, and we wonder if things will ever get better.

But then your heart skips a beat as your tired eyes watch the sun come up in the morning. And when the cool air hits your skin as you step outside to begin another day, you feel Him there. In some unexplainable way, the breeze, the smell of spring, the light shining down on your weary body, reminds you that you're not alone. That you've been heard. That you're understood.  And you trust that somehow, someway, you're going to make it. Because despite your pain, your circumstances, your heartbreak, and your fear, you find comfort knowing that even though your world may be falling apart...

He's got the whole world in His hands.

#803 - Because even when our world is falling apart, He still holds it in His hands.

"I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand." - John 10:28-29
